The facility itself is located 8 kilometers from the center of the city, in the area called Lagadin. Looking on the map, this point is half way between Ohrid and Trpejca, and within close proximity to Peshtani. For those of you who are new to this region, these are the places with most of the beaches.

Secluded from the urban jungle, Lagadin offers tranquility while being conveniently close to Ohrid. With the magnificent lake upfront, and the scenic mountain behind, you will find yourself immersed into nature.
What the Robinson Sunset House in Ohrid can offer is distinctly different from all the other apartment villas and hostels. With a private yard that is 1500 square meters, the facility is more of a retreat than a hostel. You’ll enjoy the lush and secluded garden, children’s playground, and balconies with stunning lake, garden, and mountain views.
The beach is only 100 meters away, and the facility has a small boat, canoe, and several bikes available for its guests.
The region, on the other hand, has several large beaches, and many other secluded by the side of the road. Transportation is super affordable, and you can take either a taxi or the local bus. The town of Ohrid is only minutes away.
The area is so serene and tranquil, that it can legitimately be proclaimed as a resort. Being in close proximity to the foothills of Galicica, you will be able to enjoy the mountain terrain as well. The trails start just minutes away from the facility.
Robinson Sunset Guest House – the Rooms
The facility is a mix between the hostel layout, and the apartment villa concept. It features 2 dorm rooms, with bunk beds. And 5 double rooms with two beds. A triple bed room can be arranged as well.
All of these rooms have private bathrooms, and a personal balcony. The property is very bright, and all the rooms get to bathe in sunlight. The interior décor resembles a mountain retreat, with stone and wood motives neatly arranged.
The views from the rooms are simply spectacular! The pictures below cannot even do them justice. Some of the rooms have garden views, and mountain views, and there are those with views over the lake.
The apartments are very spacious, bright, and nicely decorated. They can easily be compared to a mid-to-highly priced hotel room, so you’ll definitely enjoy your stay. Linens, towels and toiletries are included in the price. But we will talk about amenities in just a minute.
Common area
While the house itself is a sight to behold, the focal point of the property is the yard. With somewhat over 1500 square meters, it resembles a proper resort.
Secluded from neighboring properties, it features a private garden. Lush and tranquil, it is the perfect vacation getaway. There is much shade to enjoy, where you can chill, read a book, or hand out with other guests.
The yard also includes a small children’s playground and lots of hammocks, wooden and comfortable furniture, and an outdoor swimming pool. There is a barbeque that is free to use as well.
The house is bathing in sunshine, so the interior is always bright. The same can be said about the balconies. The sunset view from the second story balconies is just amazing.
There is also a kitchen within the facility, preparing traditional Macedonian food for breakfast and lunch. The dining room is comfortable and spacious, and you can take the meal outside in the garden as well. In this regard, the Robinson Sunset House functions more like a hotel than a hostel.
The bathrooms are very decent, and though small, they are still spacious enough to offer comfort.
Robinson Sunset House – utilities
The Robinson Sunset guest House includes dozens of utilities. To our surprise, they do not reflect into the price. Free to use, these utilities set the property miles apart, in the metaphorical sense, from other competing facilities.
Included is a free Wi-Fi access, Parking, Laundry facilities, Barbeque, Cable TV, In-house kitchen, Air conditioning, heating, hair dryers, towels and linens, toiletries, hot showers, personal balconies, and of course the large yard with a swimming pool, children’s playground, and lush garden.
You also have access to a small boat, canoe, and bikes, as well as the option to order meals of traditional Macedonian cuisine (not included in the starter’s package).

Being listed as a hostel first and foremost, let’s look at the process for the mixed dorm rooms. Regardless of whether you book a bed in a room with 5, or a room with 8, the price is the same – only 10 euros, per person, per night.
The double room apartments range from 20-39 euros, depending on the room, position, the addition of a third bed etc.
Credit cards are not accepted, and all the taxes are included into the price.
The Robinson Sunset House in Ohrid is a family run business, so expect a very pleasant staff, homemade traditional food, and a very relaxed atmosphere. The property is perhaps one of the best accommodation facilities in the Macedonia, and nowhere else in the country you can find the same value for the price. Most highly recommended!
